Yet another superb display last night from the WARRIORS ,for me the only downturn is the gaol conversions just wish we had a decent kicker ,if so the points diff would far greater congrats to the lads ,keep cool and finish part 1 next week at Leigh .
Whilst i'm on i would like to ask anyone to please explain just how does this play-off for the grand final pan out . Also what are the full ramifications next term regards relegation /promotion please .

I think Featherstone are coming up.
I watched the Catalan game with this Keighran who kicks we;; [ apolgies ]if I spelled his name wrong. he's at Wigan next year so I think He could be our kicker and take the pressure off Harry

According to IMG, no promotion or relegation which as far as I am concerned is all wrong!

Can you see the Premiership in football ever doing it?

There would be a massive outcry from EFL clubs!

Franchising(no relegation)was first suggested by one Maurice Lyndsey during the inception of super league,a man who you greatly admire I believe.
He seemed to think it were a good idea..
In my opinion every team deserves a chance to compete at a higher level if they win their own league..Truth is,and Leigh being the exception, they generally don’t compete, and finish up being whipping boys.

True Joe ,but if you don't give the minnow a chance then the question has to asked what are they ""playing for ""????
I am with you O/C there is now way on this planet would the Premier and all the other divisions tolerate such a debacle. The powers that be have tinkered with this and that for in all the wrong area's whilst ignoring the real issues. As for whipping boy's i honestly believe the club's who did come up would probably say it's worth the experiance !

They are Bill, but things are about to change....if IMG get their way,and they meet enough of the criteria, they could be saved

Thanks for that Joe. I presume you went on Friday. I wonder when Wigan last scored ten tries and only four goals. Goals could be vital in the play offs.

Yes, I did amire Maurice for what he did both for Wigan and Rugby League, but it did not mean that I agreeded with everything he said or did.

As for whipping boys, is Rugby League any different than the Premiership in football with clubs like Fulham, Norwich City, West Bromwich Albion etc on a regular in and out trip of making up the numbers with the same big clubs at the top every year?

Wish you’d stop making comparisons with football!
If you’d bothered reading my previous post,I said in my opinion, every team deserves to compete at a higher level if they win their respective divisions.

It will not stop them being potential whipping boys.

Agreed, every team needs the chance to compete with others, but the problem is that some clubs are richer than others which results in the same handful of clubs being at the top every season while the poorer clubs are the wipping boys.

In Rugby League, the salary cap was introduced to make clubs more equal, but it has not happen as it is based on income!
